Dr. Ing. Volkan Ünlü Appointed New CEO of the DRIESCHER Group

The DRIESCHER Group, headquartered in Moosburg, has appointed Dr. Ing. Volkan Ünlü as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With the appointment of Dr. Ünlü, an experienced industry expert takes the helm of the traditional company, which has been one of the leading providers of components and solutions for power distribution networks for over 85 years.
Dr. Ünlü brings many years of experience in the energy and electrical engineering sectors as well as in industrial transformation. After studying mechanical engineering and manufacturing technology at RWTH Aachen, he earned a doctorate in engineering and cost management and gained extensive experience in various leadership roles in an international environment.
Before joining DRIESCHER, Dr. Ünlü held senior positions at renowned industrial companies, including in the fields of power distribution, grid technology, and renewable energy. In these roles, he was responsible for strategic growth initiatives, the expansion of sustainable technologies, and the development of innovative solutions to support the energy transition.

The company plans to further strengthen its leading role in the development of SF6-free, air-insulated switchgear and systems, making an important contribution to the decarbonization and modernization of energy networks.
The DRIESCHER Group employs around 500 people across four production sites in Germany and the Czech Republic and is regarded as a reliable partner for municipal utilities, industrial companies, and railway operators.
